Laugh Out Loud Anime

With all the action and drama-packed anime out there, sometimes you need to slow down and enjoy a good laugh.

AHO GIRL

This was one of those mindless anime, a classic opposite attracts story where the main characters had extreme personalities that complemented each other very well. The humor was juvenile and enjoyable.

HAVEN'T YOU HEARD? I'M SAKAMOTO

Sakamoto can do everything perfect. This anime was a fun way to spend 20ish minutes watching all the characters attempt to ruin Sakamoto’s image. This anime reminded me of those short 3-minute ones but with a lot more content.

SHIMONETA: A BORING WORLD WHERE THE CONCEPT OF DIRTY JOKES DOESN'T EXIST

This anime ran on sex jokes. This was a fun anime to watch if you enjoy middle school level sex humor. The characters were entertaining to watch especially with how overexaggerated and complicated their schemes got.

MAGICAL GIRL ORE

A parody of the popular magical girl genre. This was an anime that you shouldn’t take serious for how ridiculous it is. The cultural references they added were executed well which made it even more hilarious.

AMAGI BRILLIANT PARK

All the characters in this anime were charming and unique. Kyoto Animation created a visually stunning anime, and the theme park in the story provided a new perspective on the word decaying.

BEELZEBUB

Beelzebub had brighter colors than we usually see in anime. The storyline was a simple and straight forward story with the prominent running gag of the delinquent high school kid and the baby.

DAILY LIVES OF HIGH SCHOOL BOYS

This anime captured the essences of high school. The episodes were divided into segments in which each episode had the characters go through the struggles of being a guy in high school. The characters were charismatic, and the moments provided some nostalgia for life in high school.

ASOBI ASOBASE: WORKSHOP OF FUN

Olivia was a beauty who was born and raised in Japan but can’t speak any English. Kasumi was a serious girl who also can’t speak English. Lastly, there was Hanako, who’s cheerful but can’t seem to become a normie. These three unlikely friends went through their daily lives.

NICHIJOU

With every passing day, the main characters and the people around them experience both the calms of normal life and the insanity of the absurd. The characters had a distinct and cute art style that made them look comical.

MONTHLY GIRLS NOZAKI-KUN

A series of misunderstandings led Chiyo to becoming one of Nozaki's manga assistants. This anime thrived off misunderstandings and the characters, with gags that ran off love and romance.
